We love Teachers! In order to get more books into the homes of students in low income areas, we are offering free book pick up days for teachers at Title I schools, and other education professionals working with this population to come and get new books to give out to students. Anyone picking up books must show their school ID when picking up the books at our Winter Park location, and must sign up in advance.
We have opened up our program to private schools with a high scholarship percentage, preschools with a high 4C percentage, and teachers in Title I schools in counties surrounding Orange county, as long as they can pick up the books in Winter Park. New dates are added in monthly, and teachers may sign up once a month.

You must be an education professional working with a high percentage of low income students to participate in the Teacher Book Pickup Days.
These summer slots are for teachers or volunteers to sort and shelve books.
Teachers who volunteer may pick up free books for their students after the volunteer time is up.
You may sign up for multiple slots.
JUNE DATES
Thursday, June 11 - 11 am - 3 pm
Tuesday, June 16 - 11 am - 3 pm
Wednesday, June 24 - Noon - 4 pm
Slots are available for 4 teachers each hour.

We have been giving out free books to teachers, media specialists, and other education professionals to send home with students since March 2023.
In 2025, we sent out 19,467 books on our
Teacher Free Book Pickup Days!
In the first 3 months of 2026, we sent out 7,765 books with teachers and community partners.
Our all time total (March 2023-March 2026) is 55,235 books in kids' hands!
We have also sent out thousands more books at school fairs and other events, and through our partners since we were founded in January 2021.
